Asbestos & Lead Abatement · Pinpoint Environmental

The hazards behind
the walls.

Older buildings hide hazards you can't see — asbestos in insulation, flooring, and popcorn ceilings; lead in decades-old paint. Disturb them during a renovation, demolition, or a fire or water loss and they become a real risk. Through our environmental division, Pinpoint Environmental, Millers tests, contains, and safely removes them — licensed, documented, and to code.

Test, contain, remove — safely

Don't disturb it until you know what it is.

Asbestos and lead are only dangerous when they're disturbed and become airborne — which is exactly what happens during renovation, demolition, or a fire or water loss in an older property. The safe move is to test first, then abate properly.

Our environmental division, Pinpoint Environmental, handles it end to end: certified inspection and sampling, accredited lab analysis, and — if abatement is needed — full containment with negative air, HEPA filtration, and safe, licensed removal.

Everything is disposed of according to federal, state, and local regulations, with documentation the whole way, and we finish with clearance testing that proves the space is safe before anyone goes back in.

And because it's all under the Millers roof, the moment abatement is clear, our in-house crew can move straight into reconstruction — no waiting on a separate contractor. The family-owned standard since 1974.

The Millers Pin Point Process

Test first. Then abate safely.

Guessing with asbestos and lead is dangerous and illegal. Our process confirms what's there with accredited testing, contains it, removes it to code, and verifies the space is clean before anyone returns.

Certified Inspection & Sampling

Trained inspectors identify and sample suspect materials before anything is disturbed.

Accredited Lab Analysis

Samples are analyzed by an accredited lab, so what we're dealing with is confirmed, not assumed.

Containment & Negative Air

We seal the area under negative pressure with HEPA filtration so fibers and dust never spread.

Clearance Testing

Independent clearance testing proves the space is safe before re-entry — documented for compliance.

A process built on certification, containment, and compliance — with documented, verified results at every step. We keep you legally protected and physically safe, and remove the hazard the right way — because there's no shortcut with asbestos or lead.

The Millers process

How abatement works.

A licensed, documented sequence — from the first sample to a cleared, safe space.

1

Inspect & sample

Certified inspectors identify suspect materials and take samples before anything is disturbed.

2

Lab analysis

An accredited lab confirms whether asbestos or lead is present, and at what levels.

3

Contain

We seal the work area under negative air with HEPA filtration to prevent any spread.

4

Remove safely

Licensed technicians remove the hazardous materials following strict protocol.

5

Dispose & document

Materials are transported and disposed of to regulation, fully documented.

6

Clearance & rebuild

Clearance testing confirms the space is safe, then our crew moves into reconstruction.

When it matters

Where asbestos & lead hide.

Especially in properties built before the 1980s — and especially once a renovation or loss disturbs them.

Older homes & buildings

Pre-1980 asbestos and pre-1978 lead paint are common — and hazardous once disturbed.

Renovation & demolition

Tearing into old walls, floors, and ceilings releases fibers and dust that must be controlled.

After fire & water damage

A loss in an older property disturbs materials that then have to be tested and abated.

Popcorn ceilings & insulation

Classic asbestos-containing materials that need testing before any removal.

Vinyl flooring & siding

Old floor tile, mastic, and siding can contain asbestos — we test before we touch it.

Commercial & rental compliance

Documented testing and abatement to keep property owners compliant and tenants safe.

Why homeowners & insurers pick us

A second-generation promise, written in receipts.

Licensed & compliant

Certified, licensed abatement to federal, state, and local regulations — with the documentation to prove it.

Good questions

Asbestos & lead FAQs.

How do I know if I have asbestos or lead?

You often can't tell by looking — it takes testing. As a rule of thumb, homes built before the 1980s may contain asbestos, and those built before 1978 may have lead paint. If you're renovating, demolishing, or recovering from a loss in an older property, testing first is the safe move.

Is it dangerous to disturb?

Asbestos and lead are most dangerous when disturbed and made airborne or ingestible. That's why cutting, sanding, or demolishing suspect materials without testing and containment is a real risk — and why we test before anything is touched.

Do I need to test before renovating an old house?

It's strongly recommended, and often required. Testing first protects your family and workers, keeps you compliant, and prevents a small project from turning into a contaminated one.

Are you licensed to do this?

Yes. Abatement is handled through Pinpoint Environmental, our licensed environmental division, following federal, state, and local regulations — with full documentation and clearance testing.

What happens to the hazardous material?

It's carefully removed under containment, then transported and disposed of according to regulation. We maintain detailed documentation of the whole chain for your records and compliance.

Can you rebuild afterward?

Yes — that's a big advantage of keeping it under one roof. Once clearance testing confirms the space is safe, our in-house reconstruction crew can move straight into the rebuild.
